Super Blood Moon

I think the term might actually be a blood moon eclipse? I don’t know… In Swedish they were saying it was a super moon combined with a blood moon, so in my mind – what we had last night was a SUPER BLOOD MOON!

It sounds like a superhero. Or something that the superheroes need to save us from.

Over here, the eclipse was full around 4.11am, and I was having trouble sleeping, so I was actually awake to watch it. I was a little bit disappointed that it wasn’t more red. I’ve seen photos from other parts of the world where it was more red, so I guess it depends on where you live.

I didn’t take any photos, but as always my aunt did (I never have to take photos anymore… I can just steal hers!). So here, have some blood moon views from Sweden.

Did anyone else get to see the blood moon last night?

  1. I sort of saw it as I was driving home from visiting friends. It was really red here, and it happened around 8-9pm? The last of the eclipse was disappearing from the edge when I got home around 9:15pm.

It was crazy, there were people pulled over all along the highway, IN THE DARK, without the lights on their vehicles on. If I had wanted to pull over, half the time I wouldn’t have seen anyone until I hit them!

    • That’s pretty dangerous! I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a bunch of accidents happening.

I’m jealous that you got the properly red moon over there! Ours was barely red 🙁
