I don’t really dare to hope for spring, because so far whenever my grandma and I have said that the weather finally seems to be getting better and spring is coming it’s started snowing the same day or the next day. We obviously jinxed it. So no, spring is not coming – it’s not here – and it had better not start snowing now!
The weather is really nice today though even if a bit chilly, and I hope it stays. Tomorrow – Friday – my baby brother Isak is coming to stay for the weekend. We’re gonna go to the “Water palace” for some water fun and probably take a walk along the large lake (Vänern) with Bailey. Then on Sunday I’m taking him back home and going to stay there as well for a week since Bailey has an appointment with the hairdresser! I think it may look really funny when all of his fur comes off.
Saturday next week is the twice annual market/fair that they always have in my mom’s village. It’s not quite as fun as it was when I was a child, but it’s still something of a habit – or tradition, if you will – to go even if just for a little while. In the evening there will most likely be a party at the hotel bar, but I don’t have any friends in the area anymore so I doubt I’ll go.
Posting a picture that I couldn’t post around Valentine’s Day which is when it was taken since I managed to lose the USB cable for my camera. Finally got a memory card reader though, so I can have photos again, yay! Since I wasn’t out on a date or anything having heart-shaped ice in my diet coke was the extent of my valentine’s celebration. I was quite pleased with it though.
Oh and Isak has a rat, and he recently bought a second one for company – only he got a bit more than he bargained for since it turned out to be pregnant! A week ago we discovered 11 new little rat babies in the cage! This is a picture of them from their first day, they’re not really very cute then since they’re naked, deaf and blind *lol*
I’m considering taking two rats for myself actually. I know most people think they’re yucky (I thought so myself) but truth is they’re really quite pleasant and very intelligent and social.
