Happy New Year!

So, both Christmas and New Year’s have come and gone, and suddenly it’s 2014. Personally, I can’t believe how fast this year went by. I swear it was only a few weeks ago that 2013 started. Several things have happened in 2013 though…

I went to Spain again, with a friend this time. My long-time friend who’s been coming to see me off and on again finally became my boyfriend. I went to UK to visit said boyfriend. Nephew Viggo turned 2. Baby brother Fredrik turned 4. They’re growing up so fast! I found out I’m going to be an aunt again, times two! Both my brother J (father of Viggo) is having a(nother) baby and my sister R is having one too.

Christmas was a lot of fun, celebrating with family over several days. Dad has however told us that this was the last year we adults were getting the more expensive gifts. From now on it’s the new generation that will get the bulk of it. Which I, of course, find totally unfair since I don’t have any children. Discrimination against the childless!! (I don’t really have an issue with it… But it’s fun to make a fuss!)

This year I got some nice stuff (as always), some clothes, a set of travel wallets, lovely smelling body butter, and gift certificates at IKEA. It can’t get much better than that!

I got this cute owl from my sister :)

With the gift certificates at IKEA I decided to get some stuff for my little alcove, which is where my desk and writing stuff is.

And two of these lamps to light up the window.

Over New Year’s I went to visit my dad together with my brother J and Viggo. We had a great time, with great food and Viggo was having lots of fun playing with his uncle Fredrik.

Road trip! Time to go visit Viggo's granddad!

The kids had their own table! Too cute!

This is what counts as a starter at dad's house on New Year's. It's a toast and I promise there was a piece of bread under that mountain of food... Somewhere...

  1. I swear I wrote “Merry Christmas” on your Christmas post! I spent Christmas with my family, though they were all sick, and then I worked on New Years Eve but I never celebrate it anyway. But it was good, nonetheless! Just not exciting.

Now, the Steam sale… lucky for my wallet I wasn’t home and on a computer for most of it!

    • Oh the Steam Sale… always a dangerous thing! Sadly one of the games I was really hoping for (Starbound), never came on sale 🙁 It’s not horribly expensive, so I guess I’ll just get it at the regular price. Did get a few other games though. Quite looking forward to Clones which is some kind of Lemmings-type game. I loved that old Lemmings game when I was younger!
