Best in a long time!

First off; a warning that this post contains a big SPOILER for the TV-show NEW GIRL. So if you’re watching that show and you’re not up to date, or planning to watch it, stop reading now! Go away! If you have no intention of ever seeing it, don’t care about spoilers, or have already seen it.. Feel free to continue reading.

Now… I’ve started watching the show myself recently, and finally got caught up to date with the episodes. One of the last episodes I saw had a kiss between two of the main characters that I’ve just been waiting for to happen since pretty much the first episode. Not just that, but I will admit that to me, this was one of the best kisses I’ve seen in a show/film for quite some time!

I even had to go and find the clip on Youtube!

If you want to watch it, you should know that Nick and Jess are roommates (together with two other guys), and this is them walking to their rooms at night. Earlier that night they were all playing a drinking game, and Nick and Jess was meant to have kissed – but Nick managed to escape (through a window!). After blurting out “Not like this”, regarding why he didn’t want to kiss her, and refusing to explain what he meant.

Now excuse me while I go off to make “SQUEEE” noises…

    • I can very well imagine it’s the kind of show that you either love or hate. The characters are all fairly quirky (Zooey the most), but I personally find them endearing and rather funny. She’s kinda geeky and does some embarrassing stuff at times, and there have been times when I’ve been laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. But I have a weird sense of humour. One of my favourite scenes is when she’s unable to say the word “penis”, because she’s such a prude. My one complaint about the show would probably be that they introduce things now and then that seem to come out of the blue, or haven’t been mentioned before (like a new quirk that we should have noticed before). But on the whole, I really like it, and think it’s well worth a try. Do give it 2-3 episodes though. I think it took me about that long to get into it, since a little bit too much happens in the first episode to really understand everything. (Also, they change one of the actors from the pilot to episode 2, but at least they change the character as well – which is better than them just changing the actor!)
